DEEP SOUTH
Well I got my new , new dunes top entry suit, and hit the road. Me and my mate Ben drove from Merimbula on the south coast over to the dessert, and have been sitting down in south oz for over a MONTH AND A HALF! We are currently sitting at streaky bay library about 100km from wher we are camped at the moment, as we found a few waves around this area that are amazing and are waiting for the right conditions. One is a blatant reverse of supers, I surfed it the other day but it needed to be bigger to get of the rocks a bit more. Waves have been far and few between, but when the winds have been faithfull they have been amazing!!!!!!!. We have been getting smashed by storms, and are sleeping in swags under a tarp. We have been through 3 tarps as it seems to be a common thing that 70km/hr winds come through at 4am, rip it in half and drench us in rain! We got good 6ft monuments, and scored it a few more times around 4-6ft and a few other waves down there that are a little less known. I have only surfed once with someone else and all other surfs have been lonely in the sharky waters...a little freaky, but thats at least 5 amazing surfs, of 4-6ft perfect barrels solo, how often do you get that? the water is a little icy but my new dunes steamer is amazing!!!!! I have a white and black suit with gold logos, im so happy with it, its warm, flexi and only 3/2 and im in south oz and its still warm as, i cant actually talk that wetsuit up enough, best thing i have ever worn! So here is a few shots of whats been going on.....
